How to Create an EventLink

A step-by-step walkthrough on how to create an EventLink.

It's easy to create an EventLink to increase ticket sales for your event. EventLinks are beautiful landing pages for your events that generate registrations and sales.

Click SmartLinks on the left-side navigation then +Create New Link Campaign on the right to start creating your smart link. This article will take you through the process step-by-step.

Enter Event Link

Start by entering the URL for the ticketing page you want the people that visit this link to be sent to or select an event from your Eventbrite account. You can also connect your Bandsintown account and choose from one of your events.

Customize Landing Page

Use the inputs and preview to customize your event landing page.

Enter your event’s name, the venue's name, and any other details you want to include. Upload a landing page image and change the background if you'd like.

Edit Metadata (Optional)

Design the look and feel of your social posts by customizing your metadata. Use the preview to see how your EventLink will look on sites like Facebook.

Your event landing page will have its own URL. Customize the link so you and others know it's for your event.

Connect Domain (Optional)

We also offer the ability to add a subdomain, helping you brand consistently across your links. This will also provide you with the ability to promote your EventLink for custom conversions. Here's a step-by-step to creating your own custom domain and connecting your domain for use with smart links:

Add Retargeting Pixel (Optional)

If you plan on advertising to your fans and have connected your custom domain to your smart links—add your retargeting pixels here to track fans that visit your EventLink. You have the ability to add the following retargeting pixels: Facebook, Google, Twitter, Snapchat, and TikTok. Don't have a pixel yet? Create one here.

To earn affiliate revenue on iTunes/Apple Music or Amazon, enter your affiliate code(s) on this page as well.

Retargeting allows you to serve ads directly to individuals who have clicked on your links in the past.

Name your EventLink so you can reference it later. Only you and your team will see the name of the EventLink. Also, if you’d like to organize your EventLinks, you can create tags for them (e.g. “Event Name").
